Lindsey Lake intervenes to support Slimthick Vic, her childhood best friend who has struggled since her breakup. To reunite with her and their sons Rico and Elias, Lindsey extends an invitation to the NHL Finals. The two families then stay together for the night. They all recognize that boundaries have been broken when Vic discovers Lindsey having fun with her stepson, but they will continue to break additional boundaries to ease their loneliness.
